Wow Crystal those are the cutest things I've ever seen.I love the colors and how the petals hang off the edge.I like the colors they are now for the grout....Have never used the clay..love the idea,do you bake it?

The little name tile is the only thing made with the poly clay and yes I did bake it.

I was wondering if I should go over it with a pale pink color wash...sort of like the frame color before grout...comments...opinions...should I just leave it the way it is????

Those frames are just adorable! I love the way you let the petals over hang the edge, the sentiments under the glass globs, and the polyclay name. Just as cute as can be.
I'm not sure what you mean about the color wash. White grout probably would be fine if the background glass is white, but in the first one if the base is pink, that would look good as grout too. I often put glitter in my white grout to add some sparkle.

Oh, that is just PRECIOUS! I agree with everything d3bbi said - and I think a colorwash with pink would be perfect - it looks so good in the first photo with the pink frame showing through. I think it would POP more. Soooo cute!!!!!

Oh.. how sweet! Love it! With her name on it... she'll be thrilled! I wouldn't have thought it... and I do like the white grout... but you're right... maybe a wash of light pink or blue would bring out the flowers better as it did with the background showing before you grouted. Very, very pretty!

Pink pink and more pink! It is amazing how the white grout really changed the colors. I like it with the white but I LOVE it with a pink color wash. The white hardened the colors while the pink left them soft. I would have loved to see them both on the same back ground (both on towel or both on carpet) to see if that changed anything.

You did a great job and I can see a lot of glass with the edges poking off in the future for other mirrors and frames around here!! See what you started!!!

Lovely design! and yeah I agree wash it in pink. It's a perfect example of my theory on light grouts making the grout line look larger. darker than the tesserae and they look smaller

I went ahead with an pinkish/orange color wash...close to the background color on the wip...I liked the way that color made everything "pop". This is as close as I can get and I think I'll call it "good" and stop messing with it!
I thought the little "hang-overs" would be cute but they were a bit of a PITA...had to glue a few back on while grouting!

ok...my daughter got up this morning and took a look at my picture frame(the one posted above) and said the gout color looked like southwestern stucco...which was NOT what I was going for! It looked ok but I wanted something more "little girlish"! So, I went with a lavender wash.
So...for the LAST time...may I present,

I like it a lot, grout, no grout, pink, southwestern, white, lavender...kinda like a living breathing grout color trial, thing :)

The very first pic begged the question, which I'm gonna ask...you did tumble that glass, right? Those little hangovers are really cute, 'slong as they aren't sharp! I'm gonna steal that hangover idea though, I like that!

You know...I did grind some of the edges but I didn't think you could tumble irridescent glass.

Make sure you glue those little hangover suckers down good and tight...they can give you headaches! I had to use super glue on a couple of them...they just wouldn't stay!

It has been interesting trying out all the different color washes!

Oh, I also wanted to ask...how big are the glass globs? And, do you have letter presses for the sculpey, or did you do that by hand??? Neat-o, either way!

Oh, how SWEET is THAT, LIVN. You've done a spectacular job on a frame. I LOVE it. Liked the pink grout but like the blue as well. Your daughter has a good eye for color. That is just too PRECIOUS.

LOL I like it sometimes when I come in late and get to see the evolution all at once.

You CAN tumble irridized glass; I do it all the time with no problems.
