Yes, it's normal. Occassionally I can get straight cuts with the Leponitts but not often. If I want really straight lines, I use my scorer.

You have to experiment with the angle, but I'm not very consistent in getting straight cuts

I use it to my advantage --- curved cuts are more interesting.

Try putting the nippers as close to the edge of the glass as possible and cut. I found that if I cut too far into a strip, the squares come out with a curve. Just went through that last night with some mirror.

Can't help ya. I get "schwoopy" cuts with them too. I use my Morton with a glass cutter if I want straight.
