I LOVE 3d stuff, it my fav to do so I've been drooling over these turtles since you first showed up with them! What a great gift and it is so neat that DH is not only helping but likes a good idea when he sees it!!lol!

Yes these turned out great also. I'll bet your family will love them!!! I just love the base with all that stuff in it. Its awesome that your hubby helped you!!! Tell him we said he was awesome for it!!!

Annie... I found them at KMart...and Sears Essential (which has taken over for some KMart stores here in FL.
They are a hard composite type of material.. quite light before putting all the rocks and stuff on them... found them in the garden department.

Love these turtles! I too adored Slow's rooster standing in all those found objects! the ball chain along the edge of the turtle shell is inspired

I think I first read about ball chain from Linlee... but it may have been from someone else, too. Sure like the edge it gives. I've used it on several things.

Everyone liked their turtles... and each of the three called yesterday to say that they took a better look at it.. and loved finding all of the "stuff" in the sand. So... thanks to everyone here for all of the help and support! Y'all are WONDERFUL teachers!!!
