I have hunter green counter tops and hunter green floor - white appliances.

I used Behr's Olivine and it is a wonder green color.

Other side of room I have a dark sage carpet and it all blends together.

You may want to take a look at Benjamin Moore's Nantucket Gray which is actually a green with enough gray in it to give you a nice contrast with your reddish wood cabinets. It's a very good color!

nancy8947, that Olivine does look great. I don't have a HD super close, though. I wonder if there is something comparable in BM or SW?

sis2two, I like the look of Nantucket Gray but my husband will find it a bit muddy, I think. We're already in negotiations, I need to find something that stays a little more clear.

Any ideas of weather I should be going sagey/cool, or something warmer?

BTW, this is a photo of our kitchen.

Agree with Fernwood Green. Soft Fern. Add BM Saybrook Sage. If your counter is similar to BM Dakota Shadows, Cedar Grove might go well according to the BM website..

I have a yellowish green with similar tone cabinets, I believe I used behr Ryegrass but it was years ago and I am no longer certain. It is more fern like than sage and it stays true to color at night. I just thought the yellow undertone might play well with your yellowish accesories.

I had reddish cherry cabinets in my old home and I painted the walls SW Clary Sage. I thought that was a good combination.

If that's too dark, look at SW Softened Green on the same strip as Clary Sage or even the shade lighter than Softened Green (forget the name of that one).

Take a look at Benjamin Moore's Dried Parsley as well. We used it in our old kitchen and loved it so much we put it in our new house as well. I think it would look great with your cabinetry.
