I need a table and lamp near the club chair in my living room and I've narrowed down my choices to a round metal table and mercury glass lamp. There's 48" space from the floor to the shelves and 5' between the edge of the chair and the wall unit.

Both tables are taller than the 26" chair by 1-2" The first table is 27" tall and 23" diameter and the second table is 28" tall and 20" diameter. I like them both but would either work better given the size and scale in relation to the chair and wall shelves?

The lamp - I've loved the PB bedside lamp since I first saw it. It's feminine and pretty, which I like since most of everything else in my living room is more masculine. However, it's 21" tall. The RH lamp is 18" tall which would probably work better with the height of the table and the shelves on the wall, but it's shape is very plain. Same price but 20% off the PB lamp this weekend during the F&F sale. What do you think?

For either lamp, I'd like to use an ivory linen shade since I have ivory linen slipcovered chairs in the adjoining dining room, but the PB lamp is shown with a burlap shade. Do you think this works better with the lamp?
