Shed looks great. Can I come live in your house? Its fantastic! Looks like its massive. About 6000 sq ft? Surely enough room for lil ole me.

Thanks, Electicme! No, it's really not massive; it's smaller than it appears. It's 3500 sq. ft. (not counting the basement since it's not finished and probably won't be anytime soon). I'm sure we could find a little space for you somewhere!

I would leave the red shed to be different and not add any red details to the house/porch. The shed stands alone and looks better that way to me. Paint job looks great-it can't compete or blend with that magnificent home! Lucky girl!

I come from OH and I was just back up there this summer for the 1st time in 45 years...you need a MUCH bigger barn to go with that stunning house ! LOL> All I saw in OH were gorgeous red barns.

I sure wouldn't put that red on that beautiful deck. I would find something that was " invisible" to not draw attention away from the house but complement it. Just my .02...I know you didn't ask....your home is really really beautiful. c

Thanks, Cooperbailey and Trailrunner! Trailrunner, we will eventually get a much larger shed (but it will be at the back of the yard). It will probably be red too. We're in Indiana, and I love all those big red barns! And just to be clear, I didn't mean we were going to paint anything else red -- I just meant red accents here & there (planters, table or chairs, etc.)

What a beautiful house! You could put some red and white cushions on the deck chairs and maybe a couple of dark red pots.

Thank you, Loribee! The interior is very much a work in progress, especially the family room. For some reason I seem to concentrate on everything BUT the room we spend the most time in (other than the kitchen)! But the pics I do have are at the link below, although much has changed since I've taken some of these, and much is still to change!

I thought the red would stick out like a sore thumb because of all the white on your house, but boy was I wrong! It's perfect! I like the deeper color of the red with the white trim. Good job!

Thanks to you also, Paintergirl. We're working on the landscaping, slowly but surely! We have to bury the downspouts in that area first, then we will landscape around the "lil' red shed". Re: pic 17, do you mean the one with somebody sitting on the floor (all legs in the pic)? That's the hardwood installers before we moved in! Too funny that you noticed that (but then again, it shouldn't surprise me since to have a talent like you do, you have to have an eye for detail)! Thanks again!
