Ring....Ring..... (twg7590) Question for you!

twg7590 - I just love your beautiful kitchen!! What a remarkable transformation.

I have a question about your draperie treatments, I have printed the picture of your baywindow to show to my draperie designer because I love the way your looks. I read in a post that it is the Kingston but I would love to see a close up of your draperies if you have some. I would like to see the fabrics that you used along with the campanion fabric on the back with the trim.

I just have to say that I can only hope mine turn out half as nice as yours, they are just beautiful, compliments to your designer!

LOL....I just go the estimate price for this window treatment....and I think it will have to wait awhile!! I had no idea, yeh sure I know its alot of work and plus the cost of fabrics, being custom made I dont mind paying it but I was not expecting it to be $1700.00. Is this somewhat in the ball park twg7590?
    Thanks

Hi Kellyleeann! Thanks for your kind words. I did not use a designer for my kitchen. I did all the designing myself. I did have a seamstress make the WT for me as I do not sew.

My fabric is a P. Kauffman fabric called Queensland in the color Crimson. Here it is at House of Fabric: http://www.housefabric.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1042. I got mine at Boone Fabric, but this is a good price. I did not use a companion fabric. It is all in the Queensland Crimson. The trim is a ball fringe I bought at Calico Corners. This is the best closeup that I have:

My seamstress only charged me $400 for the labor on the bay Kingston valance and the Kingston valance over the kitchen window. This did not include the Queensland fabric or fringe. I needed 11 yards of fabric and 15 yards of trim. Her price included the lining and it is just a basic white lining for the back.

I think $1700 is WAY too much and I would get some other estimates. This lady just works out of her home and she does excellent work and even does WT at some of the Homearamas here. She is so reasonable though.
    Hope this helps.

I just realized that your screened porch is my dream porch! I have been drooling over your porch for weeks now! :) We are getting ready to build one. Are you happy with your Timbertech flooring? Which one did you use? Did they put screen under it? What color did you stain your ceiling? We are building a stacked stone fireplace too. Is yours the veneer stone?

I cannot decide what kind of floor to use. I have read some of the composites including Timbertech can get black mold spots. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Im so sorry to get back with you so late, I dont usally have time during the weekends to post. Its so funny that you love my porch and I love your kitchen...if only I had your kitchen I would have my dream home complete!!

We are very happy with the timberteck flooring. We chose not to put in the tonge and groove flooring because if we had to replace a board you would have to remove most of the flooring to get to it. I dont remember the color it was what our local building supply had in stock. I have seen pictures of the spotting that some of the people in the deck forum are having problems with. But keep in mind that their decks are explosed to the elements without any protection. We have not seen any spots, but because it is covered by a roof and the sceen does a great job of keeping out the rain it does not get wet. I love it and if I want to kick off my shoes and walk across it, it is so smooth and the dark color just makes the room feel so warm. We did have it screened underneith because I did not want anything coming up from below the floor. LOL!! I have an area rug out there now and it look so nice and warm. I will have to post some close up pictures for you, email me at kellyleeann72@aol.com and I will send you pictures.

I dont remember the stain of the ceiling but when I get home I can look at the bucket and let you know.

The fireplace is a veener stone done by Centuron Stone, they are a big company out here and they have a website if you would like to check it out. I also got alot of insiration for my porch from the link below.

Good luck on your project!! Please keep me posted on your progress I would love to see it, and if you have any questions please feel free to email me.
