Can you get the same cabinet with a bumped out front? Two inches?

Depth isn't the issue, so bumping out won't help. It's the width.

The cabinet is 39" wide. KD says this means 37.5" wide interior space. So if the sink is 38" wide, how can it work? I feel like I'm missing something.... But KD and GC are both very experienced, and they're scratching their heads too.

You can scoop out the sides of the cabinet a bit to accomodate the sink. We were going to have to do that but reconfigured a bit. I think your KD should be calling the company rep and dealing with this so if it's wrong, it's on them not you.

I bought an Oliveri sink, too, after having the same trouble with their documentation--different dimensions and cabinet size requirements given in a variety of different places. I finally got the telephone number for a regional distributor who went and measured the darn thing herself. So keep trying to get to someone who will do this for you.

The bowl width is 36-5/8" which will fit inside the 37.5" interior space of your cabinet. About half of the rim will be sitting on your cabinet box on the sides. It's not that uncommon.

Ah! so is it possible the longer measurement (38") is the measurement of the RIM, not the bowl?
