That sounds good! We have blue pearl with white cabinets, no island.

Thanks for that thread on blue-grey. Of course, after dainaadele's advice, I'm more nervous about choosing than ever!! LOL Anyone else have any other ideas?

Make a color board. Here's the one for our kitchen, which has clear finish maple on the perimeter, Caesarstone "dusty stones" on the countertops. The island will have Caesarstone "organic white" countertops and we're painting the island Sherwin Williams "Dovetail."

The three paint swatches at the top of the image are the dovetail gray, the color of the walls and the color of the trim. The background of the image is also the color of the walls.

You can also see our flooring (3 different colors of marmoleum), our backsplash tile, countertops, maple, and a little tiny refrigerator in stainless.

It will look splendid. Do you have to go for a dark gray blue?
What about a soft gray blue color that will not clash with
the tan in the other room. Some blue Pearls with the right
light have bits of silver mica that almost look
white. Have you looked at any paint swatches?
You said the lighting is bright. Excellent you have so
many options available to you. I love the idea of a blue gray.

Here are some blues I love but of course match them up
to your grantite to see if this works for you. Your walls,
the butcher block, the maple...
