Light fixture question

I have all black appliances and a blanco anthracite sink. For pendants, I should get one with a black finish on the base/cord hanging down thingy, right? I'm thinking stainless will look out of place with it nowhere else in the kitchen. Am I on the right track?

Personally, I like silver jewelry with a black dress. YMMV.

Mixing metals is apparently the newest thing. :) I think silver lights would be good. What is your faucet?

Faucet is Blanco Anthrcite as well. I like the "silver jewelry with black dress" analogy. Made me smile.

I would prefer a lighter metal. The silver jewelry with a black dress is a good analogy.

I bought a couple of pendants in different finishes at Big Box and held them up to see which finish I liked. (returned both) It really helped. Did the same thing with hardware. Sometimes it's best just to see it.
