Hi all,

I just had to share that my architect and I submitted my remodel / addition plans to the City today. They're saying the first round of comments should be ready by July 19th, which means construction can probably start in mid August.

This will be a big project (expanding from ~850 to ~2200 sf and keeping nothing but 2.5 exterior walls) and probably won't be finished until next Spring. The kitchen, master bathroom, and landscaping will probably be the most fun parts, and those won't come until near the end, but I'm starting to get excited anyway! (Though I'm not really looking forward to interviewing contractors after seeing hoboken's posts. :-/)

Thanks for all the help that people have given me on kitchen layouts, appliances, and so on. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions along the way, and trying to answer them on the rare occasions when I can.
