Cabinet Hardware

I came across these knobs online and can't make up my mind what I think about them . . . anyone have an opinion?!? We're doing warm white cabinets and White Fantasy quartzite. Our faucets and pot filler will be chrome and I always thought I'd do chrome cabinet hardware, but these seem kinda different -- just not sure if in a good or bad way!

This is the first time I'm providing a link, so here it is in case it doesn't work: http://www.kitchen-cabinet-hardware.com/knobs/intrinsic-blue-grey-long-knob-_STO-LK-403.php

Here is a link that might be useful: Knobs

I think these look kinda cool & would likely go well with your kitchen scheme. If I were you, I would order one for a sample (since they can't be returned) and check them against your quartzite, to make sure the colors/effects go well with it.

Erin, those are gorgeous! If the color IRL goes with your stone, do it! They'd set your kitchen apart from others.

A sample is a great idea! They also have a light silver color (lots of other colors, in fact!) so that could be a possibility as well. Of course I showed DH last night and he wasn't feeling them. He prefers chrome. But maybe once he sees them IRL . . .

Those that you found are very pretty. We are doing glass knobs too, and I wanted to point you to the people who are doing ours as another alternative to consider (knobs are actually a little bit cheaper too).

I'm not affiliated with the company doing ours (promise) they just did wonderful work for me on a stained glass mural for one of my upstairs bathrooms and I'm working with them to create the perfect knobs now. They are custom, and they are glass artists so you could have your colors matched exactly and a design done to your and your husband's liking along w/ matching handles.

The company is Designer Glass Mosaics>

The knobs they are doing for us will be modeled after these below, except the blue will be color matched to match our granite. They can do anything you'd like though, the mural they did for me was gorgeous!:

There are also people on Etsy that make glass knobs (UneekGlassFusions) that allow you to customize your colors and design but I haven't used them.

Just a thought, hope that doesn't complicate things further for you. :)

The light silver is pretty too. Get one of each and see what looks best. I'm bookmarking that site for future reference. I'll be needing lots of pulls in a few rooms when the reno is done.

Beagles, custom is a great idea to feet the look you want!

Thanks beagles. I think my husband also wasn't feeling the cost of those knobs. We'll need quite a few! I'll check out the co. you mentioned!

And thanks breezy, for all your thoughts. I've been following your posts which have helped me a lot!

Those are really pretty knobs! We're building our house with an eye toward universal design since my mom may live with us at some point and she has arthritis. So, all pulls for us. Do they make pretty pulls, too?

They aren't MUCH cheaper erinct. I'm paying $15/knob and $18/handle, but $3 per knob cheaper adds up when you've got a bunch of them :)

Designer Glass Mosaics is run by a husband/wife team, and she's an artist who also does water colors and stuff. They are very nice people and will work with you to design exactly what you want. I don't know if you looked around their website, but they did a huge mural on Extreme Home makeover and have been in a bunch of magazines and stuff. I'm excited to get my knobs from them because I know they'll be really unique and specific to my kitchen (you have NO idea how many months I spent looking for knobs)

Because I spent a billion years on this, I also found quite a few glass knob places, and here's another website to check out too: http://www.te-ma.com/indexmain1.html
They've got some pretty and unique glass ones which range from $13 on up to $30 or more.

ICFgreen: They do make pulls (glass and other materials), but their profile looks a little low to me. I'm not sure how easy it would be for an elderly person with arthritis to get underneath.

Beagles: Every dollar counts! I'm actually under budget at this point, so maybe I can convince DH to go for them! Of course, I probably just jinxed myself . . .
