Which option will look best?

Now that I've decided on a corner cooktop, I need to decide how to finish that particular wall. I plan to ask builder to angle the wall behind the cooktop but I need to decide what kind of vent hood to do in the space.

Option #1: Do an under cabinet vent. Pros: less $$ (budget is already stretched) and I'll retain upper cabinet space.

Option #2: Do a wall chimney hood and lose all the upper cabinets. Pros: I like a contemporary look and wonder if it'd look better to break up the line of upper cabinets between sink and frig with this option?

Cons: probably will be more $$ although maybe the difference in price would be made up by reduction in cabinet costs?

Also, if I were to use a bit of glass in a few of the upper cabinets, where would you put it? FYI, the pantry door will have frosted glass.

I'm so visual that it is hard for me to "see" it when its only on paper.

Thanks!
