Sugar Maple-

The center island is a black/grey/green pattern. Not busy at all. The counter around the perimeter of the kitchen, I am thinking just the shiny black absolute granite. So you make a very good point, there is not a lot of movement in either the granite or the subway. Also, my cabinets are 14 years old. I just had them repainted dove grey/decorator white mix. I like the white Horus Art crackle tiles,the crackle is so simple and muted that you don't really notice it. Do you think the glossy looks more formal and less casaul. Do you have any pictures you can post? I'd love to see them....thanks
