Electrolux Appliances

Hi,

We are picking out appliances for our new custom home and saw an Electrolux Double Over and 36' cooktop we really like, but was wondering how the really perform.

Anyone have reviews, raves, rants about buying electrolux appliances? I think we are buying a LG Refrig. and Bosh dishwasher.

All information is appreciated!

Thanks,

We have been using our Electrolux appliances for about 7 months now. Not one problem and I love them all.

    Here's what we decided on:
    All in the Icon series
    36" induction cooktop
30" single wall oven-----over that we put in
    30" high speed oven
    Dishwasher EDW7505HSS
Warming Drawer-----placed right under the cooktop
    Glass Canopy Hood

Our refrigerator is the Samsung RF-4287. I had read of a few too many problems with the E'lux fridges. Plus, I fell in love with the deli drawer.

Both the DW and the fridge are so quiet I never know they are running. Love the induction.

I'm about to learn something about customer support at Electrolux.

I just noticed that my brand-new double wall oven has a slight crack in the lower left corner of the upper oven door. I noticed that while bending down to take a closer look at the "Electrolux" badge that was slightly crooked on the door.

My appliance shop said he'd call ELux on Monday AM and set up an appointment. Fingers crossed!

(Other than this, I have no experience with Elux, so this will likely form my opinion of them for years to come!)

I went with Bosch ovens, cooktop and dishwasher. Samsung fridge and microhood. That said I read MANY reviews on AJ Madison, Sears, Consumer Reports, Amazon, etc. before I chose. Lots of head spinning and eye crossing. Have you searched the Brand name, model number, followed by customer reviews? That helps a lot. Best of luck with your search!

We have all Electrolux Icon appliances including:

Single wall oven (love it! Only wished the timer bell was a bit louder)
    Convection/micro
Warming Drawer (don't know how I lived without this before)
    36" gas cooktop (love it!)
    Chimney hood

It's been almost two years and all have worked great with the exception of our sxs refrig. It's been replaced once because they couldn't figure out what part was needed.

I have frigidaire, except for an Electrolux induction cooktop (36") ... it's lovely! No complaints after 10 months...

FWIW: False alarm on the cracked glass. Turns out it was a whisp of hot glue from the glue-gun that they used when templating. The Electrolux badge is still crooked, though... I'll still try to get that fixed, but it's much less serious.

I have an Electrolux OTR Microwave and a dishwasher. The Microwave is great, can't say the same about the dishwasher. While it is very quiet (you can't even tell it is running) we are on our second water sensor" replacement. The last one was supposed to be a fix to a known problem, so we will see if it lasts. If it breaks again, it is going back! The cleaning ability is just okay.

I have Elux hood and 2 all fridges and 1 all freezer... 3 1/2 years on all. The only experience I had with their customer service was excellent. Our 1st freezer arrived with a large dent in the back. I'm certain it was the appliance store's delivery people's fault, but they turned it over as a warranty issue to Elux. The normal procedure would've been to send a tech to write a report, then send it in for resolution...but Elux Ok'd skipping all that and just sent out a new freezer. Again, for something I don't think was their fault.

Rhome: glad to hear. Hopefully, that bodes well for my (now very minor) problem.

I have an Elux 24" fridge drawer unit. It is perfect. Better than dreamed. Quiet and cold.

We, also, have an LG full size, french door fridge, 34 1/4deep, 36 wide and perfect. We love it SOOOOOOOOO much. It holds a ton of food and for the first time, our frig has many empty spaces, even in view of the fact that I keep a lot of baking materials on two shelves. The shelves, spillproof, are pullouts. Hubby said how much he likes this frig. We can find stuff.

Everything is easy with our new kitchen.

There was a old model with problems. Fixed, some years back.
