Ruby, those are AWESOME! So glad I've inspired your search and that it seems to have been relatively painless.

Where did you find those? Do they have an online source? Always good to know where to look for this kind of stuff. We're thinking that we would still like to find some sort of neat vintage towel bar to put on the island beside the prep sink.

And, glad to know I don't have to update my security system...:-)

Wow, sorry I missed the response to this earlier. I found them online (let me look it up, I have a whole folder of sources).

Also, I have used a shop in PA which does repro (to spec or cast from an original (I swear that I could not tell which was which it is so cleverly done)). They have a website, but it really does not do the service they offer justice (and for multiples, I found them to be quite reasonably priced).

Re: towel bars. Have you looked into the Belgian or French cast antique swing versions? Those are great.
