logging in issues

Is anyone else having to log in repeatedly to the forum? I never had this issue until the last 24 hours or so. Each time I come in, even if I've only been gone a few hours, I have to log in again. Until recently, I was rarely asked to log in - I was never logged out, which seems to be what's happening now without me realizing it. It's a danged nuisance!

No problems here...delete cookies maybe?

Did you change any browser settings or use any "cleaning" utility ? It sounds like a cookie issue.

Nope to both - I don't have a clue how to do any of that. Guess I better check with my in-house tech support (that would be hubby). Thanks for answering!

That happened to me last night...things were actually kind of strange...I couldn't preview posts w/o taking out words like "from" and "where" huh??? Once I did get them to preview, they wouldn't submit.

I sent an email last night asking if they were having problems but no response.

I also would open a thread in a new tab and it would show up in the new tab....but it would also spawn a window with the same thread but I wouldn't be logged in in that window....but I'd be logged in in the tab....

Really bizarre!

Things seem OK this evening...

yes, I've had to log in twice in the past few days. and i checked the little box too.

Also, this morning the threads list wasn't updating. Definitely gremlins ;)

So, it's not just me? I know it's perverse of me to be happy to hear others have had issues but hey, I'm glad to know it might not be something I did wrong! I'm still going to check with hubby, though.

Is anyone else having on-going log in problems? I've been working with a GW tech but so far, no luck resolving this.

It's only with GW, doesn't matter whether I'm using Firefox or IE or my hubby's laptop. I'm kicked off the minute I leave the site even though I check the "remember me" box each time I log in. I've checked my cookie settings and all is as it should be. I've never had this issue before and I've been a GW member for a decade or thereabouts. Since it began when the font and back button issues started, I think they are related but I can't prove that. They are still working on a fix for the font problem (guess they've fixed the back button problem?) so maybe that will miraculously fix my log in problems. One can hope!
