I'm not the expert on colors (that is an understatement... LOL). But your kitchen sounds like it will be lovely!

I'm not sure what you mean by contrasting... not purple or something, right? :o) How about a darker green than your walls? I'm not familiar with that RH color, but perhaps a deeper hue of the wall color would look good? Or maybe a steel blue color, if you want something different and dark? Or even a oceany looking lighter blue/green with some distressing? I'm not sure the "look" you are wanting to head towards, but what you have sound spa like and peaceful.

I would think doing darker, mellow colors would look really good and help "ground" your lower cab's against the white floor tile. I'll be interested to see what the real color experts come up with. You have a great start. :o) Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Is the grout in the floor also white or another colour?

I like tb's idea of a darker shade of the wall colour. Make sure it is greyer as well as darker.

If you want something more dramatic, an orange or red would look good with the wall colour too.

But whatever colour, get moving on it. It sounds like it will be great and I want to see some pics!
