Fix or replace kitchen faucet?

We have a fancy Grohe kitchen sink faucet that we had put in in 1992. It's the type that's fitted with a hose, so you can pull it out so you can spray water all over the sink and in veggies you're preparing. And it can work as a regular faucet or you can flip the switch on top and it turns into a sprayer.

It has started to malfunction -- when I turn on the water, without the spray setting, water will flow out of both the regular opening and the opening from which the water will spray. So it in effect leaks when I turn it on. But it does not leak when I shut it off.

We've had reasonably good service from this device. Does it pay to fix it, or should we just replace it?
