Samsung Flex Duo Range

Posted under appliances but no response. Wondering if anyone has this range and could give me feedback. Considering purchasing this week however can't find online consumer reviews as its too new i guess and no stores in my city have a display model for me to go see. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Here is a link that might be useful: Samsung Flex Duo

interesting concept. it is not self cleaning, the steam clean feature is a rather funny way of saying "not self cleaning, please pour water in me and turn on the heat to help loosen off all the stuck on crud." also don't love that you open one door and heat escapes from both ovens - rather inefficient. info states one heating element for both ovens... hmmm...

google shopping puts this in 14-1500 price point where many other real two oven 30" ranges live that have real dual ovens and real self cleaning.

why are you attracted specifically to this range? what features do you love/need?

Hm, never thought of the opening the door and losing heat from both. However it does have actual self clean as well, 2/3/4 hr cycles, the steam is a seperate 20 minute option.

Up until the last few days I was sold on a regular double oven range, but my concerns were not being able to have one large oven if wanted, as well the bottom oven was on the floor so akward to access. Now with this one, I can have one big oven if needed, as well its not any lower than a standard oven. As well it offers the warming drawer underneath and as silly as it sounds, has a child lock which the double I was looking at didn't. However, I've never owned a Samsung appliance and without being able to talk to anyone with this one, it makes me a bit more anxious. Thoughts, love feedback :)

We looked at this range also last week at HH Gregg and we liked it. I never thought of the "heat escaping" as detroit_burb mentioned, which is a good point, but as tanner27 mentioned I like the idea of being able to still have one large oven. I think with anything there will be positives and negatives, but I think this is a pretty cool oven. I'd be interested to see what other people think.

Tanner27.. did you end up purchasing the Samsung Flex-Duo? If so, what do you think?? I'm considering it also for the same reasons you indicated, but there are still no user reviews.. though plenty of PR lately. Lowe's got this in just 2 weeks ago, so I was able to play with it and it looks great!

We saw this last week and were very intrigued by it. Seems promising but I too would be curious as to how it works IRL.
