I have a 36" electrolux induction cooktop. Switching to induction cooking has been one of the best parts of our kitchen renovation. I love the control to instantly lower or raise the heat. I steam a lot of vegetables for dinner and the speed on the induction cooking is fabulous.

Just installed the GE Induction 36" about two weeks ago and I love it! The ability to contorl the heat is amazing to me (I have never used gas). I also love how the cooktop does not get hot, therefore, nothing can get baked/caked on it. It is super clean and easy to use. A very welcome surprise.

Would you want to have a drawer right under the cooktop, like for utensils? If so, check the spec sheet/installation instructions carefully. GE used to say you needed to leave 12" until the combustible surface. Most other brands require much less space down to the first combustible surface. There have been discussions about this 12" recommendation on the Appliances Forum.

I have the GE Profile 30 inch induction cook-top and I love it. Clean-up is a breeze and the control is amazing. The burner configuration is good for my purposes as well. Yes, there is a 12-inch recommendation between the bottom of the cook-top and any combustible surface, but what I have below the top is two 15-inch pan drawers. That has worked out very well. (Nothing in the drawer directly below the cook-top ever seems to get hot, by the way. But I guess GE is just super cautious.)

I was told that the Monogram and the Profile Induction Cook-tops are the same as far as the workings--they just differ in trim and price. Whether that is true, I don't know. But I wanted the one with-out any stainless trim anyway.

Sorry nobody answered your question. What I understand is the Monogram has a higher quality of glass that will wear better & some of the control functionality is supposed to offer more. But check the specs for each
