Progress Update and Suggestions

Hi all,

I posted some progress pics about a month ago. They included the before, demo and the cabinet install. Things have progressed since and I think I'm nearing the home stretch. (Although it seems like it will never really be done, done.)

So here are a couple of the before pics that may jog your memory if you viewed my ealier post. It's rather embarassing and I took good amount of ribbing from you all for the wall paper, the 80's vintage cabinets and appliances. It was well deserved though:

Lovely stuff huh? Anyhow, this is a small galley kitchen. There wasn't a whole lot of flexibility with respect to layout or design but I think I've managed to optimize the small space and certainly increase cabinet and counter space in the process. So here's where I am now. It's such a small space that there are only a couple of places to take pictures from. Combine that with my non-existent photography skills and well you get some crumby pics. The various colors are not very accurate either. Ugh.

Work still pending:

Uunder cabinet lighting (LED)

Crown Moulding

Backsplash (beadboard most likely)

Fridge

Various trim pieces

Misc stuff

If you look at the pics that include the sink, I'm looking for some suggestions on what to do underneath the cabinet that is above the sink. I had this cabinet raised above the other cabinets to create some interest and I think it will look really good once the crown is installed. Having the cabinet raised up allows you to see the bottom of the cabinet (unfortunately). I ordered a matching panel to go under there and as you can see there is wire for electric. I was thinking some kind of light (suggestions welcome) might work but I'm not sure. Also taking suggestions on the color of the beadboard backsplash. Right now, the plan is to go with the cabinet color. (In case you couldn't tell, I'm going for a cottage style look.) Sorry I'm tired of making decisions!

Relevant details:

Cabs: Kraftmaid Huntington/Dove White & Sage

Counters: Silestone (Sienna Ridge)

Floor: Mirage hardwood (forget the name of the series but the this is my favorite thing!)

Stove: Whirlpool

Microwave: Whirpool

DW: KitchenAid

Pendants: Schoolhouse Electric

Sink/Faucet: Kraus (from Overstock)

Walls: BM ?? Sage (Nice color but I'm not sure it's a keeper.)

Much thanks to you all for helping me get this far. The information you all post along with your experiences is priceless.
