I have seen some beautiful cherry kitchens with Sienna or Typhoon Bordeaux. Also, for a lighter look, Delicatus and Kashmir White are really pretty with cherry.

A friend has lovely kitchen with cherry cabinets and Typhoon Bordeaux, so I second the opinion on that. You might also look at River White or White Spring.

Not a fan of granite. We are going with Chroma quartz by Pental. They have lots of colors to choose from. In fact, our cabinets will be dark and we are doing a 'white' countertop.

white or very light on the perimeter but do something a little different on the island...maybe wait till perimeter is completed. The small island with a different top,like a thicker ebonized dark African hardwood, or end grain maple,would be a way to break up the strong color in your space...contemplate painting the island.

We have Kashmir Creme with cherry cabs. It is a very warm and soothing granite- not too dark, not too light.

I was thinking Typhoon Bordeaux with those cabinets too. They would really bring out the red in it, and it is a gorgeous stone.

We just had cherry cabinets and kashmir white grante installed and they are beautiful together.
