Great awesome! he best decision I made was getting the Moen valve for the shower, very inexpensive and the plumber hated it, but we love it, adore it. :-)

So the material was $8,000. Can you tell us how many hours your hubby needed? And did he the plumbing work as well? I would estimate you saved for the tile-work between 4 to 7 thousand and for the plumber another 2 to 3 thousand. Am I right?

We probably saved $2000 in labour on tile work. He did all the demolishing, framing, windows, shower and tile work (including the granite wall). Hired the drywaller, electrician and plumber.

Wow was my first reaction too! Like that no sacrifice (bath) was made for shower room! It really is spectacular!

Not sure if you already answered this but can you tell me if you remodeled other parts of your house and how this modern bath fits in with the rest or what your plans are to do so. Just curious.
