Feedback on selections so far, please?

Hi all, we are re-doing portions our home in stages and I have gotten great ideas from this site! This is my first post and am hoping for some input. Our home is a traditional 2-story with orangey builder's oak trim/cabinets throughout. We already updated kitchen appliances (Wolf stove, etc.) and are now putting in a new, larger kitchen island with a dark brownish/black stained base and changing countertops, sink, faucet, lighting (and eventually flooring). Perimeter cabinets will stay oak for now but eventually will be painted creamy white. We will not be painting all of the trim and doors of the rest of the house at this time. We have pretty much decided on Cambria counters and are looking at Darlington for the island (also considering Windemere) and maybe Collybrooke for the perimeter counter. Not sure, as it might be too busy to have the oak (later to be cream) cabinets, dark stained island, and two patterned counter colors. We also like Torquay in photos but not the graininess in person. Love the look of creamy marble but not reality of the etching, maintenance, etc. Not in love with the other faux marble-look possibilities so we tried to find something non-marble that we liked instead. With the above countertops, we looked at a backsplash of claros silver subway (looks more creamy than gray in person) with 12' square of little rectangle mexican sand shimmer accent tile over the stove for a little sparkle. We're also putting in a farm sink and oil rubbed bronze cup cabinet pulls. The floor right now is also builder's oak-colored (a cheap laminate) and will eventually be upgraded to real wood in a darker, rustic-looking oak to coordinate with everything else and the existing trim/doors. We are most drawn to traditional and farmhouse-style kitchens, and would love all creamy/white wood throughout, but there is a ton of it (double front door, 2 sets of double french doors plus 4 other doors on main level, big two-story entry, all pretty visible, etc.) so we decided not to tackle painting everything right now as we are doing things in stages. Thanks in advance for any input on our color/material/style choices!
