Induction cooktop - a happy discovery!

I have a single burner induction cooktop to use while my kitchen is getting a face lift. When I bought it, I knew not all of my cookware would work with it. I also didn't think the reno would take as long as it has - 4.5 months and counting. So, one day I had an epiphany. I put my flat, round cast iron pan aka comal aka tortilla pan. I heat it up to full and treat THAT surface like another burner. So my smaller non-induction pans work on it. Specifically, my 8" eco nonstick egg pan. Supposedly, it doesn't have all the issues like regular non-stick. I'll let you know if the kids grow a third eye.

Yes, I could just go out and buy new cookware, but my new-to-me range is gas, so why go through the expense? This single burner will not be used daily after we finish, just when an extra burner is needed.
