Home Depot carries a line that if you go to their home page, there is a layout tool. Well, now that I look, I don't see it anymore. There used to be one and I could use it in Firefox (I think it was java based, perhaps flash)

We are kicking around the idea of having someone build us an online design tool, but it will be big $$... all I can offer is for me to do a plan with renderings for you.

This would be the kind of renderings you'd end up with.

There's a recent thread at ikeafans where someone from ikea is promising that eventually they plan to switch to a different online solution which he says will be cross platform, but that doesn't help you right now.

Google sketchup is very popular, but I have to admit I can't get anywhere with it. It seems cumbersome to me, but I've seen some wonderful renderings done with it.

Here's the link to the new HD RTA cabinet design tool:

Ahh, there it is. I didn't ask the initial question, but thanks for the link.

There's also a kitchen design tool on HGTV.com, but it only has basic sizes. So it will only work for you if your not getting custom sizes. It does have several appliance specs though.

Thanks, everyone! I've just been messing around with the Home Depot design site and it is easy and fun, but a bit limited.

And I had forgotten that HGTV has a site, as well. Thanks for reminding me of that! I'll have to go check it out.
