The problem with that step stool is that it will only add 13" to your height, which really is not very helpful. Just take out a ruler and see how little 13" actually is.

If you want a very space-efficient step stool, and don't mind spending the $$, the Williams-Sonoma Ultraslim Aluminum Step Stool is the be-all and end-all.

There are also plenty of slim step stools with good height at places like Target for a lot less money, though they are not as ultraslim as the Williams-Sonoma model.

I get your point, though these come in 3 sizes, including 9" and 13" & 16" high, and with convenient carry handles.

For example, I recently took the 16" high one outdoors to hose down some stuff, while sitting on it (it's nearly the height of a chair). The smaller ones can be kept inside SUV as a convenient step-down.

I keep both the 13" and 16" ones on a hook that's hanging on a door.

Yeh but. $110-$130 is an obscene amount of money for a step stool.

I'm 5'5'', on a good day. If I was 13'' taller, I could touch my 8' ceilings so 13'' is all I would need.

We have a 9" variety in our RV. I have never seen a taller one, but might want to get one. Anyone know where they sell the taller ones? (I have searched some tonight, but without success.)

You might try asking your librarian to browse their hard-copy registry of businesses for Kennedy's Home housewares (or plastics?), to find out how to reach that company. It's a huge mystery to me why they're not findable online.

Naturally the label had stated they were made in China, and I believe the company is U.S. based. If the respondent had asked, I'd have checked, but by now the label is in the trash. I know for sure there was no phone number or website listed. (The label of the 16" one was long since trashed. I've only bought the 13" last week. Prior to last week they only had the 16" ones in the store)

I'd bought the stools at a local market where they have a zillion things from all over the place. I just thought I'd share that these thingies exist.

The 16" was $12 plus tax.
The 13" was $10 plus tax.

I'm a shrimp, yet find them quite lightweight.

I purchased mine at The Container Store..It is the 13" one and it is just a little on the short side... It is very convenient and takes up very little space...I am also searching the web for a 16" size...Janna

Hi, note that the container store charges $13 for the 9" one.

Whereas at my local store, they charged $8 for the 9" and aside from that they had choices in white, or black or grey/black.

My store charged $13 (including tax) for the 16" one.

    So for $24 i got both the 13" & 16" ones (both in grey/black)
I didn't bother with the 9" one even though it was a buy at $8

I purchased mine at Ace Hardware for $13 and love how easy it is to store.

I'm 5'1" and the height works fine for me.

Jodi, yours is a different brand. I think I saw yours at Walmart last year.

But I remember it as being heavier than the Kennedy's Home ones and also smaller.

I don't remember the exact price, but I believe it cost quite more too.

I purchased the 13" Kennedy's Home model while vacationing in New York, for $9.99. I wish I had purchased more. I got it to access my yacht in the dock when the tide is in, requiring an additional 10" for easy access. But, my girlfriend is now using it to access items in our kitchen and laundry rooms that are higher than she can reach. She loves it. I suppose I'll have to go back to NY for another or two, as I can't find them on the web, and whoever posted the pic of it didn't provide ordering info.
