Electrolux Appliances?

I am thinking or putting Electrolux appliances in our new home. I was just wondering if anyone had them and what they thought. Thanks!

I've been very happy with our Electrolux fridge---so far so good after 3 1/2 years.

We have Electrolux hood vent and Electrolux Icon all fridges (2) and all-freezer (1). So far, so good! The freezer arrived at our home dented, which I'd think was probably the dealer's doing, but Electrolux replaced it right away. We've been using everything for 8 months.

My Electrolux vacuum is 40 years old (belonged to my grandmother) and going strong!

I love my Electrolux refrigerator. We had to return the dual fuel range because it didn't fit properly. Beware, there are some strange specs for the range that you may need to take into consideration in your design. Our KD assumed it was like any other slide in range and he created a standard cut out space for it, but the range stuck out too far into the room.

I've had the wall oven for about a week. I had a convection oven about 16 years ago. Love having a convection oven again. This one has convection bake, roast, and broil. Love the conv. roast function. Haven't tried the broil. The oven seems to work fine.

Downside, because it is convection it is not as deep. Not an issue unless you're into Costco pizzas. However, they didn't seem to fit in the other oven. Has a cute little chime, but could stand to be louder. I have a tendency to do other things throughout the house and my other oven had a loud annoying buzzer.

Upside, the slide out racks. However, you can't use the slide-out on the very bottom rack. Has a conventional rack for the bottom. No more of the pumpkin filling sloshing all over the oven. REALLY bright lights inside the oven. Love the cute controls and the nice simple lines. One small badge on the appliance. I have the black, (had stainless, been there, done that) and the glass front has a curve to it that matches my fridge.

Also you can open the door and it will stay at any angle. It is something I have to get used to. Before I just opened the door and let it drop open. Now I have to open it all the way. Just different, really don't know if this is good or bad. When you turn it off, the fan runs and cools off the interior until it gets to some preset temperature. At first I thought I had forgot to turn it off.

So far, I am happy with my decision. And when I need to replace the dishwasher, a Kitchenaid, (with quality issues) I'll probably buy the Electrolux.

For the most part, Electrolux are simply rebadged Frigidaire's with a more "designery" look. Save your money by buying Frigidaire directly. Or if you want the more "upscale" look that their advertising promises, really compare them to the GE Profile, LG, and lower priced (non pro) JennAir lines. If you want a more true pro style of appliance, then the higher end JennAir, GE Monogram, or Dacor, Wolf, SubZero should be looked at.

There's more to the Frigidaire-Electrolux comparison than looks, at least with the all fridges and freezer...More metal and glass and less plastic for better durability and cleanability, better organization. Besides, looks can count for something. ;-) I've had Frigidaire freezer and fridges that I liked better and lasted longer than other brands, so didn't mind going with the brand family. I wouldn't have bought the Frigidaire twins, because of being chintzy inside, but the upgrades in the Electrolux sold me.

Love my whole Electrolux Icon Professional appliances - got them online and saved $4,000 from retail store, free shipping across country and a free garbage disposal! Just had online companies bid against each other and settled on best offer and I felt comfortable with them.

I got the Electrolux Icon fridge/freezer twins with the trim package and absolutely love them. No problems after 14 months. My local appliance store actually gave me a great price on them, so do look around.

Electrolux owns Fridgidaire, Tappan and Westinghouse to name a few. Regarding gwent's remark about her Electrolux vacuum, remember seeing a billboard in Wales, that stated, "Nothing Sucks Like An Electrolux".

I am very happy with my Electrolux dishwasher! Haven't had any issues and it is super quiet.

We bought all new Electrolux appliances. Haven't opened them yet - they are sitting in the garage. The boxes look nice :) We went with them because we wanted the induction cooktop.

We bought 36 inch induction cooktop and the Icon Pro 30 inch double conv oven. They are sitting in our living room waiting to be installed as we just installed our new Cabico cabinets. Can't wait.

We couldn't get the fridge because we didn't want a side by side and we went with a bosch DW that accepted a panel.

We have the electrolux Icon series and I do love it. We are having alot of problems with the gas cooktop it has a conversion kit that according to our gas company did not come with everything needed to do the job. I then had the appliance store service department come out and 3 trips later it is not burning the way it should ( large red flames). Has anyone else had this problem or am I getting inexperienced service dudes?

I put a deposit on the 30" Electrolux Icon duel fuel range. Does anyone have this appliance and care to share the experience. Or should I buy a Viking or Thermador? It is my first time trying to switch to a gas burning range. I haven't put in the gas line in my kitchen yet.

I've been looking at Frigidaire gas ranges, and they all seem to have a simmer burner with 675 as the lowest it will go. The Electrolux 30" has a simmer burner with 450 as its low number.

I have to admit, too, that I'm a sucker for the blue interior.

I have a 36" Electrolux Icon gas rangetop and I like it a lot. The most powerful burner is 18,000 btu and it also has a simmer burner of 500 (which came with a simmer plate which is GREAT at really holding a simmer). The remaining burners are a combo of 15,000, 12,000 and 9,000 btu. After all the reading I did here I was worried it wouldn't be powerful enough (compared to Bluestar, Wolf etc) but the truth is that I only use the highest power burner to boil water quickly and for occasional stir frying. Otherwise it is too much heat . . .

We have a 36" Electrolux Dual Fuel range. Love love love it. We had no problems with it fitting into our standard opening in the cabinets. It was a little tricky getting the burners adjusted correctly. Our local appliance store sent their techs out to adjust them and on the third time they realized that a little bit of the packing plastic had been stuck under one of the caps which was making it impossible to adjust. ONce they figured this out - no problem. Of all the things I purchased for our new kitchen- the Icon range is one of my favorites. It looks great, the oven is big, the racks are easy to manipulate. I am very pleased with it and we got a great buy from our local ADI store.

I have the dual fuel 30"slide in range and have been having problems with the right front burner. It takes several seconds of the igniter clicking before it lights and then it lights with a large diameter flame. I can smell gas and very often there is a loud pop as well. Is anyone having this problem? I have had the repair men out several times but they can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Any help would greatly appreciated!
