Sharb has her range in a corner.

You will probably have to build wall in the corner to put the range & hood up against. I think Mrsmjt is also doing this (or at least a cooktop).

For a 30" range, you will need at least 4' on each wall.

we also our stove in the corner and really like the arrangement! I do a lot of my food prep in the space beween the stove and the faucet. Here is a picture.

buehl - I know you're a math whiz! Can you tell me how much you need on each wall for a 36" range or cooktop?

A really quick calculation...figure about 52" on each wall.

Assuming a 26" deep counter (24" + up to 2" overhang) and 36" x 24" cooktop cabinet.

When I have time tomorrow I'll double check my calculation! (Basketball games + cookie baking continues tomorrow!)

Hello, so i saw this and figured i could ask but how to do the floor planning for a corner range? I think i have it but its not making since on how its suppose to fit.

There are two ways to treat the base cabinets (a third one for brands that offer "zero fillers"), wall cabinets depend on hood choice and cabinet overlay/inset. The wall at the back depends on how the bases are done.

Post a plan, cabinet construction, range make model, and hood choice and I'll draw it up tomorrow. Headlines to NYC today.
