Beautiful!! what are you using for counters?

wow! your cabinets are totally gorgeous. do they have a stain on them or is it a natural finish?

They are natural cherry with just a clear finish. They will get darker. The counters will be a dark green granite that will look black because there isn't much natural light. I'm doing built on stainless appliances and a Wolf rangetop. Backsplash will be a glass 1x6 brick but I'm stuck on color and wall color. I wanted green buy now I think there is too much red in the floor. My safe choice is a beige, my daring choice would be a purple/heather.

I love the purple/heather in your pics with that green or clear glass tile in the same photo. Try the daring one - it's just paint.

You'll probably be able to chose better once the counters go on.

Love the cherry. what is the floor?

The tile is from Woodland and the style is ulvio. It is ceramic but looks like an aged wood. My only concern is that the grout is too light but I think it will darken.

Sure is looking good! I am partial to the glass cabinet doors and I see you are installing lights in them. Is anyone using LED lighting inside or under cabinet lighting? Seems like it would work good since it's not as hot as other options and is more of a glow. I have some LED bulbs outside for garage entryway accent lighting but I haven't been impressed with lifetime. Seem to burn out sooner than they should. I was interested to see the cabinets have gone up before painting (and texture?) for your sheetrock. I see you are undecided on a color so I guess that makes sense to get floors and cabinets in and then decide but I was just surprised that will be done later when everything has to be covered and masked. Keep us updated when you have new pictures!

I debated the timing of the painting but in the end it came down to this: I have 3 boys under 6 so I need this renovation to take as little time as humanly possible. So I indentified a time lag between countertop templating and installation as a good time to get the trimwork and painting done. I didn't want 10 days of no progress. Having said that, the painter is just doing the trim, ceiling and priming the walls. He will come back to do the wall color because I cannot decide that until I've chosen a backsplash and I can't choose a backsplash until the counters and appliances are in.
