You can also try Fasade. That is sold at HD & Lowes.

We just installed tin backsplash panels behind the bar area in our kitchen remodel (I'll try and post pix). The contractor and the carpenters who worked on our house thought I was nuts because I kept talking about it so much, but once it was up they all LOVED it. It makes the kitchen. I ordered it online from American Tin Ceiling. They have an amazing selection, and you can get it in any color you want--including custom. They are in Bradenton, Florida. The tin itself was very reasonable--$14.00 per panel--but the shipping was a bit steep, so make sure you order enough the first time. It took about 10 days to get our order.

There is a bar sink in front of the tin, but it's mostly just countertop. Installation was easy, and they have instructions on the website for how to do it (but you need to have a saw to cut the tin--tin-cutting shears will bend the tin. Our carpenter did it for us--piece of cake for him--and he used a tile saw (water) to cut the tin and it cut beautifully).

I got metal outlet covers at Home Depot and they match well, but the website also sells them. We had an issue with one light switch that stuck out to the left of the cabinet, so, instead of stopping the backsplash where cabinets stopped, we had it run all the way to the door casing, and then down to the floor molding (next to the lower cabinets). If I can figure out how to post pix, I'll post one so you can see what I'm nattering on about.

We used American Tin in our bathroom. We cut the tiles with a guillotine paper cutter and the crown with the tin snips. It worked great. We are minimally skilled DIY'ers.

This is the view from behind my cooktop.

We did a pressed tin ceiling look - it's actually
stainless steel. It cleans up really easily.

We got it from classicceilings.com
