Bought this house last year and we've already spent a lot of money in some updating and are now ready to take on the kitchen. We re-stained our fireplace and stairwell banisters a dark mahogany (and love it), but we are now thinking it might be too much in a kitchen with black granite countertops. Any suggestions to help? We live in a rural area...and the house is filled with greens, yellows and oranges...if that even matters! Thanks for any advice! (I have a few more pictures posted in the comment area!)
