Our great room ceiling is 20' high with clerestory windows on each end. The room itself is about square with other rooms opening into it. My question is WHAT can I do to that huge tall ceiling? It seems like beams or decorative things are just too far away, chandeliers look stupid on 15' cords. Is paint enough to make the scale more livable? I want some DRAMA in the room, but I am clueless on options for this, perhaps it's just overload on all the other decisions I've been making? (Photo taken from overlook on second floor)
