I have a very nice Quoizel Agate Table Lamp. My new house has a family/dining combination room and I'm going to buy a new light for over the dining table. I could get the large pendant that matches my table lamp or I could get something different but complimentary. The rugs that I am getting for the two areas will be different but complimentary; is it best to stick to that theme? I personally think the table lamp is beautiful and I wouldn't mind repeating it BUT there are so many beautiful opportunities, it would also be fun to shop for something different . . .
