Egress in sleeping loft?

Don't you need an egress in the sleeping loft in order to comply with building code? I see a small window up there but it doesn't look big enough for a human to pass thorough. I am totally intrigued by your tiny house.

Technically the house, because it's on wheels, doesn't need to meet code, but our loft window is large enough for us to fit through it we needed to. Good question!
