I also need 1.5" high plate (for 1.5" thick 10" deep shelves); assuming I would need your 8" long bracket and for 38 linear feet I would need 21 brackets, how long will it take to get the order? Also, with a 1.5" high plate, is the weight capacity affected; can it still hold about 30lbs/bracket?

Special bracket orders take 7-10 days. The safe weight of a normal bracket is 20 lbs. I have never tested the safe weight of a modified bracket - the difference in the height of the plate should not become less secure if the screw is firmly in the stud and the drywall is sound. If you wanted to go ahead and order either the 6" or 8" brackets would give your 10" board the same support. If you order either I will convert your order in to a shorter plate and confirm that by email.

I TOO need 1-1/2'' brackets. I have 3-16'', 3-36'' and 3-42'' shelves to hang. How many custom brackets do I need?

I just ordered (23) of the 8" brackets. I need the brackets to also be 1-1/2" backplates as my shelves are also 1.5" thick. Please confirm your making the adjustment on my order.
