Depends, depends, depends...

is it sharp? How high is it set? Is the grass fine or coarse?

Have to confess I cheat- on damp days I leave the catcher off and let the clippings fall as mulch for the grass.

My older version Masportr pushmower is pretty good for producing a gentle spray of clippings, though. Especially when it's been freshly sharpened. And the cut grass smells great, too. No petrol fumes.

Ah, I was hoping for a little more info than that. What I really want to know is whether the Masport collects as well or better than other mowers, such as Rover and Victa, when all the parameters are equal.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. I was starting to think that there weren't any grass cutters in NZ!

There is another company that does parts but they say they are 'NZ only'.

If that doesn't work have a look on TradeMe.co.nz for leads to individuals offering parts who might be possible 'exporters'.

If it is an older model you are trying to maintain then this might be the easier way.
