My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    These are black iron nipple fittings(maybe 8") into union fittings(the bolts). All this can be bought at a place like Lowes.

    Not quite as easy as going to Lowe's - 1 1/2" solid threaded rod and nuts purchased from industrial supply, I believe McMaster Carr. Just de-greasing the thick heavy grease from these rods is a major chore to get started. Custom base plate feet welded by our shop. The character of the wire brushed reclaimed fir and scale of threaded rod make this what it is. A lot more time and labor in this than you might think.
