thanks!! Can this refinishing be done on any solid wood cabinetry?

You can certainly refinish any solid wood cabinetry and re-stain or paint it, but grey stains are especially difficult to achieve, even for large scale cabinet manufacturers. (It's even difficult to photograph - this picture shows the stain much darker than it actually appears in person). Grey stains have to be formulated for the specific species of wood they'll be applied too. Generally speaking, maple takes grey the best, but some manufacturers are developing new versions that can go on other species. I would not recommend trying a grey stain at home - leave that to the experts and order new cabinetry if that's the look you're going for.

I am having my bathroom remodeled and we are using the same type cabinet but with dark brown stain. I have not chosen the countertop yet and wondered if you would please tell me the name of the countertop?
