Using paint samples outside ?

Hi all ! I was wondering if anyone knows if we can use those paint sample cans they mix up for you , outside . I am planning on making a few bird houses but want to use different colors . It would be so cheap to just but those , and go Over it all with a clear outdoor poly . What do you think ?

Not sure where you live but I am in Australia and use them all the time - on totem poles, plant pots, furniture etc.
Just acrylic water based sample pots.

Sorry lilyfinch for taking so long to reply.
I do not like this new format.
But nah. I like stuff when it has weathered and looks a bit rustic. Like it has been there for a while not 5 minutes lol
