I have hosta seeds, but they come from some VERY large hostas, one looks like Sagae, the other is more bluish with yellowish edges . . . sorry, I moved in with the hostas here at the house, so I don't know their names. I'm 80% certain two of them are Sagae. They got to be 4 feet tall!!!

Do you want me to list the seeds that I have to trade or are you looking for a certain kind of seed to trade. I am just a beginner hosta lover. I just started my first hosta bed (very small) and vegetable garden this year. What do I need to do to get some of your seeds? Are they viable? Have you planted any yet?

I have almost a million deep red bachelor button seeds from my yard. This is a picture of just one plant at the end of September. It was beautiful! I will have the blue next year to add to it.

Did you know that almost all hostas are hybrids and don't come true from seeds? The babies aren't gonna look like the mama. And unless you know specifically who the daddy is, there is no guarantee which traits will be passed on. Mostly, after all your efforts you'll end up with a bunch of greenies. The only way to get a real h. Rhino Hide (which is PPAF) is to get an actual division or a tc. Seeds from specific crosses will give some fabulous results, and that is what keeps the hybridizers inspired.

Yea, I know it. I just saw the plant at the auction and would like to plant the seeds to see what they would bring. I misspelled Rhino but it is what it is. I want to put as many hostas in my back yard as possible. I cannot afford to pay some of what they are asking for the plants. I plant all kinds of seeds because I like to see them grow. Hostas are my favorite.
