Dendrobium Royal Wings was bred by H & R in Hawaii.
Dendrobium species used are atroviolaceum, johnsoniae and eximum.
Do not know about it being tolerant of the extremes, my guess is that it would like intermediate conditions. That is even watering and not too hot and not too cold.
Difficult here in the sub tropics.

The Dendrobiums that need a dry winter rest do well here and might be difficult in WA. Apart from reading the notes from H & R orchids you could look at the web sites of the Orchid Societies in the San Francsico area to get an idea of the types of Dendrobium that do well there.
Also, what Genera are the other types of orchids you have and how are they housed?
I struggle with some of the New Guinea types, had a delightful Hybrid with eximum as a parent but it died.
Climate here matches San Diego more than anywhere else in the USA.
I think 'Royal Wings' will be OK in your conditions.

I should probably clarify that WA is WA state (not anywhere in Australia, as some have misunderstood).
I mostly have paphs and phrags. That being said, I also have a few intergenerics (lc/bratonia/etc, all on my exchange page) and others.
The picture is of where they are housed (they are not shown in pic, they were drip drying in the shower from their watering). Humidity is around 60% normally, but occasionally wavers. Never been below 45%. They are in clear orchid pots and placed on humidity grids that keep them slightly above the layer of pebbles that are watered. I keep my grow room at 60F at night and raise the temp to 75F during the day. They go outside with my hoya in the spring, when temps don't fall below 55F at night. My lights are on a timer set to 15 hours from late Aug or Mid Sept (depending on when temps hit below 55F here and I have to bring them in), then set to 14 hours from Nov-Jan, then back up to 15 from Feb. until I can bring them safely back out for the summer.
I only have this one dendrobium, so just wanted to make sure it was okay to water it.
If I could, I would ABSOLUTELY bring the plants outside now during the day! Humidity has been at 80-90%, but the temps have only been 45-50. :(
