I have a dendrobium anosmum superbum'lavender' that has a few buds.I bought it last year so it's the first time in bud for me.I've given it a dry rest with just a little water periodically.I would like to know if I should start watering and fertilizing it on a regular basis now since it's in bud? Thanks for any advice.
I withhold massive watering until the new growth shows up. Mine is in bud now, still holds on to part of the foliage so it gets light moisture I call morning dew.
The new growth usually appears soon after the buds appear.
I got superbum with buds and new growth. My first blooms of this plant. I have 2 canes both showing bud about 2 weeks apart. Are the blooms long lasting? I am new with this plant. With the recent cold weather dropping in the 40's I put them in a heated spot. I've given them low 50's and they are OK. I think they needed the colder temps to drop their leaves. Part of the process.
