It says exclusive on it which usually means it is a cultivar they bought from someone for exclusive propagation. So its probably not Ayers. Call 'em up and you may get more information.

A little late in response, but I did actually call them up the next day and, at least the person on the phone, didn't know the exact name of the pear. They pretty much read me the description on the site. Oh well....at least the SugarSweet pear tree I bought from them a while back is growing quite nicely....maybe next year I will get some fruit off of it.

I thought Stark Bros says on their website that it from France. It might be a cultivar developed by Star Fruits or another of the French nurseries with their own breeding programs. It also might be from INRA, but I doubt it.
