I just purchased a used Poulan 295 Pro...$50..not bad! When I got it home..she fired right up with little effort but I was smelling gas...The next day, I tried to start it again and it was acting like it was flooded. I tried everything to start it...eventually I found that the hose (from the tank to the carb) was split - hence why I was smelling gas. I replaced the hose...tried a number of times to start the saw..and it wouldn't start...eventually the pull cord snapped. (just my luck) I replaced the cord and now she starts...my problem that it is very hard to pull the cord. I've taken everything back apart to make sure that everything was correct..and she spins freely. If I pull the plug it's very easy to pull as well. So just to recap...the saw starts after 5 or 6 pulls...but it is very hard to pull the cord..to the point that my hands are hurting...it basically starts to pull then theres a hard stop...it retracts...then you can pull a few times..then a hard stop.
Any ideas???
