I think it is probably more of esthetics as long as the slope is not too extreme.

I would think it might effect water going to one side of the bed if the top of your soil in the bed is not level?

Your raised bed should not be a problem at all.

EZ way to level block is to lay flat a 2x6 or 2x8.

Then level the board with shims or other pc's of scrap lumber.

Remember to cut the board multiplied by the number of blocks used by 15.625" and cut the excess off. Since you aren't using the 3/8" joint for mortar.

After you have it set up, pack soil under the board from the sides.

A dry run between cinder-block beds with your rides may make for a happier life.

I have a question for you on using your scooter !!

What is the ideal height of tending to a raised bed, using your scooter?

If sitting on a scooter, and bending over to tend a garden at 7.5 inch height, it would seem to me that it would be quite tiring after a short time, especially since you will have to reach over the width of the CMU.

Would using your scooter next to a raised bed 3 blocks high, approx. at 22-24 height be less tiring to your back?

Also reducing the reach over of the side of the raised bed to 1.5" width?

The reason I'm asking is that I design and install raised garden beds.

So for the Handicap in a wheelchair or a elderly person that can't kneel down, but can roll up to a raised bed and either garden from their wheelchair or sitting on a scooter.

Thunderbear, a short handled rake, hoe, etc gave me more access than a taller bed did. I don't build mine more than " tall.
