Hi eveyrone,

I am not experienced with Aroids but received an Elephant Ears plant as a present (that's what we think it is). It is increasing in size and is about a foot tall now, but every time it grows a new leaf, an old leave dies.

I don't expect this is normal? In the photo there is a new leaf emerging and the one at the back is yellowing on its way to dying. I'm not sure what conditions are best for this plant but it gets full afternoon sun and we are in Melbourne, Australia so it's a Mediterranean climate with summer highs often in the 90-100F range. I tend to water it a couple of times a week if it hasn't rained. There are two edible taros planted next to it which are doing fine.
