Banana Question...

I bought a dwarf cavendish banana about 2 years ago, the plant grew to almost 5 feet and then one day out of the blue the leaves started browing around the edges and then within a week they were all brown and two weeks later the plant was dead. It had three pups left and two of those died the same way but one is hanging on but starting to brown around edges too- any help would be greatly appreciated! I hate to lose this baby. I am very new to banana growing so go easy on me. :) thanks in advance!

A picture would help, is it in a pot? What type of soil are you using? What is your watering routine? These are some of the questions that will help us determine whats going on.

One suggestion.... buy an inexpensive soil moisture meter. I have grown hundreds of indoor tropical plants and I used to kill them quite regularly from over watering or not re-potting them often enough. Guessing on when to water your plants usually doesn't work that well. A soil moisture meter is almost worth it's weight in gold! If I am watering it when I should, as soon as I see a plant not growing that well, I re-pot it in fresh soil, and that usually gets it back to full health. Good luck!
