Hi all-

I have a new to me this year Exotica bulb that got too wet while sending up its flower scapes. To save it, I peeled off several layers and also carved off the bottom of the basal plate. The flowers did form, but two of the four are small and not correctly shaped. Did the cleanup work cause this, or would it have happened anyway? Will good care between now and its next blooming season result in a better display next time around?
